The blackness of your composition gives it a sense of industrial grit, like a coal miner or a factory worker during the industrial revolution. Or perhaps some other outdoor laborer, shirtless in the hot sun. The back could symbolize back-breaking work. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's what it says to me.

He does seem a little more downtrodden so-to-speak in this piece. It may be due to the detail of the spine portruding. It has a different feel from the first. I love the variations. Awesome.
